Plot
Saraswati (Mawra Hocane) is a quiet and simple girl who works as a librarian. Due to her plain appearance, no one shows interest in marrying her. Her parents try hard to find a suitable man, but no one agrees. They also decide that Saraswati’s younger sister, Kaveri, cannot marry before her. Kaveri loves her boyfriend Sanjay and wants to marry him soon, so she asks Saraswati to change her appearance. Saraswati goes to her neighbor Inder (Harshvardhan Rane) for help. Inder’s girlfriend is a famous stylist. When she sees Inder and Saraswati talking, she thinks he is cheating and throws a glass bottle which accidentally hits Inder. Saraswati helps Inder and takes him home. A security guard tells her father about it and accuses Saraswati of having a bad character. Her father gets angry and throws her out. Then Saraswati promises herself that she will find a good groom and make her parents proud.
With Inder’s help, Saraswati changes her appearance. After that, her partner Abhimanyu starts liking her. While preparing for her wedding, Inder slowly falls in love with her. But on the wedding day, Abhimanyu leaves her. Saraswati goes to his house, and her father says that he will not accept a girl whose family has abandoned her. Heartbroken, she goes alone to the honeymoon suite and asks Inder to stay close to her for comfort. Inder agrees.
The next morning, she wakes up and sees her hugging Abhimanyu. This breaks her heart, and she becomes depressed. Later, Saraswati’s mother gives Inder Kaveri’s wedding card and asks him to give it to Saraswati. Inder goes to Abhimanyu’s office and finds out that Saraswati left him and told him not to tell anyone. Inder follows her phone location and finds her at a Buddhist place. He tells her to leave and says that he used it to forget Abhimanyu. Inder leaves in pain but then returns with a wedding invitation. When he sees her crying, he tells her how much he loves her. She suddenly faints, and the doctors say that she has cancer and will not survive. Saraswati tells him that she wants to be buried under a tree so that flowers fall on the people who come to meet her.
Inder gets angry and goes to her house. He tells his parents to stop acting like she is dead. His father calls the police, and Inder is arrested. At the same time, Saraswati visits the library and finds messages written by Inder on pieces of old books. Inder escapes from the police and goes to meet her in the library. He hugs her and asks her to marry him. The inspector sees them and tells them to stay together. That night, Inder goes to Saraswati’s house again and tells her father that he will fight with anyone for her happiness. He tells her that they are getting married.
The next day, her parents forgive her and bless the marriage. After signing the papers, Saraswati faints. The doctors say that she does not have much time. Inder asks his father for help to buy land under a tree. But his father misunderstands, and Inder leaves. Saraswati dies in Inder’s arms, saying that he will meet her again someday. When Inder comes out of the hospital, his father is waiting there. They apologize to each other and make peace. Finally, Inder stands under the tree where Saraswati was buried. He tells her that he has quit drinking, that he has succeeded, and that he misses her every day. He promises to love her always as flowers fall around him and the title song plays.

Sanam Teri Kasam Ending Explained
In ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’, the ending is very emotional and sad. Saraswati, played by Mawra Hocane, is seriously injured after being hit by a stone during the riots. She has suffered a severe brain injury that doctors cannot repair. Inder, played by Harshvardhan Rane, does everything he can to save her, but she dies in his arms. Her death breaks Inder’s heart. He respects her last wish and buries her under a tree. On her grave, he places a stone on which is written, “Saraswati Parthasarathy, beloved wife of Inder Parihar.”
This ending shows how strong Inder’s love is. Saraswati dies, yet Inder remains close to her in his heart. He never stops loving her. He keeps her memories alive and feels her presence all around him. Even after death, his love does not end.
The last scene shows how deeply Inder feels the pain of losing her. But it also shows his promise to never forget her. His love remains forever, even when she is gone. This is a simple story of true love that never fades.
Sanam Teri Kasam Misunderstanding

When the posters appeared in the theatres saying that the film was coming back, many fans rushed to watch it, thinking that it was a new part. But once the film started, they came to know that it was the same 2016 film, not what they were expecting.
A source said, “However, they had watched the entire film but later told the theatre owner about their complaint. The owner was surprised and said that he never told anyone that it was the second part. After hearing their side, the fans understood the issue and left without asking any further questions.” The source also said, “When the people of Ratlam came to know that it was the old Sanam Teri Kasam and not the second part, fewer people came for the evening and night shows”.
